All show, no substance

The inspiration for my picture was the answer of an expert to the question how to introduce the topic of energy efficiency to kids and make it tangible: „Nuclear fuel rods glow at night and are beautiful – but don’t yet understand why.“
My vision is a group of kids that are fascinated and admiring a „fuel rod forest“ – without understanding what they are looking at and what it means. So its symbolizing a rather deterring example.
